The origins of Orphans Press date back to 1873 and the acquisition by Leominster’s orphanage of a printing press to both generate income and provide a trade for some of the orphans [more of our history here].

130 plus years on we would like to think the business has continued through a similar inclination to forward thinking.

Perhaps it helps that for much of our history we have been family owned retaining many core values inherent in the precise manual print setting methods of yesteryear.

In recent years we have recognised that print is now just one of a spectrum of communication tools so we have chosen to broaden our business base from ‘litho printers’ to embrace related design, print and internet services. This offers real benefits to our customers who themselves are managing their communications across diverse media.

The business employs 20 staff with a mix of seasoned experience and bright young minds we would not want to swap.

With our recent move to our new premises we are optimistic that the business is well positioned to offer an even better service to all our customers.
